THE HELMET

Ashton is BEYOND OBSESSED with catch helmets right now. All kinds. He got to go to St. George for the weekend all by himself to play with his Papa and Bama Higgins. He came home with an old red baseball helmet and wouldn't take it off. We ended up losing it somewhere and couldn't find it for a week. He would wake up in the middle of the night crying for his helmet and start searching for it. It was so sad. When he called Bama in tears she immediately found him another one, had the art teacher paint his name on it, and expressed it up to him from St. George. He would wait at the door for the mailman every day. The day it came he was out in the driveway yelling across the street to the mailman, "Did you bring me a catch helmet?" Over and over again. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! He was so excited and wouldn't take it off for days. He even had to have it with him when he slept!

He really really wants a "catch helmet" and asks Aron to draw them all the time for him. This drawing is one they drew at church and he carried it around for a few days showing everyone his catch helmet. It's pretty funny to see the phases he goes through.

The other day Ash went outside all by himself without us knowing. We were calling out on our back deck for him. I spotted him inside Papa Roy's car that has been parked in our backyard all winter. He thought he was pretty funny looking at us out the back window. I wish I would have caught him laughing like that on my camera! It was so cute!

Here is our new retaining wall for our garden! We are so excited to have fresh homegrown goods this year! We planted tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, 3 kinds of squash, pumpkins, beans, jalepenos, and PEPPERS: green, cayene, hungarian hot wax, and macaroni rosso. I am excited to make my own salsa this year! Aron can't wait to make his own jamaican jerk rubs for some steak! We will see if anything survives the deer!
