Here is the latest GQ shot of Ashton McLean Simkins. He is the best kid I could have ever asked for. I can't believe he is almost two years old already! Today he counted to 8 all by himself! We were stunned! He can tell us every animal in his animal book. His favorite things to do this month are swim, play with his Uncle Mickey, and video chat to his Bampa, Bamma, and Sampson on Skype. He can say just about anything and understands everything we say to him. It is so nice to have gotten this far with our first baby. I love to look at him and know that so far, we have succeeded as parents.

Awe...makes me sad to think that pretty soon my little rolly polly kid will be counting to 8 pretty soon! Ok, so I'm getting a little ahead of myself. Oh, and and of course you have succeeded as parents, girl. You're such a good mama! I love that people like you have gone before me cause I can just copy whatever you do.
